WOTM
WOMEN OF THE
MOOSE

Dear Coworkers,

Congratulations go out to Su Gooder on
receiving her Red Tassel and to Roxanne
Hogan for getting her Green Cap. Those
of you that did not attend, missed a beautiful
ceremony. Thanks to all those who
helped with the Children's Christmas
Party.

If you see a Choctaw student, thank
them, for they are the ones that helped
decorate our lodge. They also helped to
wrap presents for the Parthenon patients.
There were 9 of us ladies from the
lodge that handed out cookies, candies
and presents to the patients. Thanks go
out to Jan and Thom who came by and
sang Christmas music.

In January, we are having a Bakeless
Cake sale. Details will be posted on the
WOTM bulletin board and letters are being
sent to all Chapter members. All donations
are appreciated.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. My wish
to you is to have a blessed New Year.

COMMUNITY SERVICE

The women of Chapter 2320 continue
to extend our hands and hearts in support
of our local charities, as well as our support
for Mooseheart and Moosehaven. In
October and November, we provided
money, goods and/or volunteer time AND
TRAVEL to the following: Sharing-
Caring, Cold Night Program, Hospice,
Eglin Pharmacy, the VA, Salvation Army,
Alzheimer’s Walk, SOCKS and RUFF,
and also by clipping grocery coupons for
our deployed armed forces. Our twomonth
totals were $8,885.55, 147 hours,
and 448 miles. Arms full of thanks to
everyone who helped.

Community Service Chairman
2010-2011
times are hard for a lot of
folks. Cupboards at
Caring & Sharing are being quickly
emptied.
Ruff & Socks are
finding it exceeding difficult to pay their utility bills and still
feed all the animals they
care for. Shelter house is always in need of unopened ladies
toiletries. If every member
donated one nonperishable food product, dog or cat food
item, or personal feminine hygiene
products it would go a long way in assisting these
organizations to continue their
operation. So, the next time you’re at the grocery store or the
dollar store, please put an
extra item in your cart for donation. Ruff & Socks also takes
donations at their thrift
stores. Your support of these local charitable organizations is
very much appreciated.
