| Bar games |
The hot days of summer are upon us. If you
haven't noticed or heard, tape for bar games will no
longer be used doe to the cost and mess it leaves
on the tables and bar. Once the rolls on hand are
gone, we will not be purchasing any more. We are
selling tubes of glue that you can apply to the
tables or bar and stick your cards on them for
$1.00. These tubes last a long time and leave little
or no residue to the surface they are applied. You
can get these from the bartender on duty or from
the game caller on busy nights. We have a limited
supply at this time but more is on order.
We are proposing to suspend Wednesday bar
games and move the Wednesday format to
Saturday. According to current State Law, we can
only have bar games 3 times a week. This proposal
will be voted on at the general membership meeting
on July 22nd.
During June, July, August, on bar game and
pool league nights, the pool team will be selling
tickets for 50/50 drawings if there are no conflicts
with and other drawings during those days. The
money collected is to help offset the cost of the
pool leagues trip to the State Finals in September.
If you did not know, we had two teams qualify for
the State Tournament.
We are looking into other games that we may
run in the future. More to come in this as it
